Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com SD Association (SDA) announced today that the latest development in SD Express memory cards doubles the speed of microSD Express memory cards to 2GB/s.
The latest generation of microSD Express cards features a PCIe interface and can reach speeds of 1,969 MB/s by using PCIe Gen4 x1 lanes defined in the recently updated microSD Annex version 8 specification. This speed boost gives product designers more storage options, enabling SSD performance for devices with size limitations that require easy-to-service or upgradeable storage.
In addition, the SD Institute announced four new SD Express speed classes to ensure that the new SD 9.1 specification achieves a minimum sequential performance level guarantee, including support for Multi Stream Access and associated power management and thermal management to ensure stable performance. SD 9.1 helps consumers determine the right memory card for their device, while providing manufacturers with new tools to ensure minimum performance levels for SD Express memory cards and ways to guide consumers on what types of memory cards ensure specific applications run.
