The relevant person in charge of BYD said at the "industry benchmarking" roadshow of listed companies in Shenzhen that competition in the new energy vehicle industry will be more fierce this year. At present, there are more participants on the supply side, but elimination is also accelerating at the same time. The market share of the top five is gradually expanding, and the clearance of the tail will be accelerated in the future.

According to the narrow passenger car retail sales data of FIFA in September 2023, the top 10 retail sales of new energy manufacturers are BYD, Ian, Geely, Tesla China, Changan, SAIC GM Wuling, ideal, Great Wall, Zero run, and Kilai. CTOnews.com noted that the top 10 cumulative sales from January to September this year were BYD, Tesla China, Eian, SAIC GM Wuling, Geely, Changan, ideal, Great Wall, Weilai and Nagan.

Looking at the market share, BYD has an absolute advantage with 34.5% of the "one-third of the country"; Ian and Geely are the second runner-up, with a market share of 6.8%; Tesla China has 5.8% of the market share, followed by Changan and Wuling, each with 5.4%.

Judging from the cumulative value of this year, BYD, Tesla and Ian accounted for 36.3%, 8.4% and 6.9% of the market, respectively.

If you look at the overall list, BYD still has a 12.8% market share in September, with FAW-Volkswagen ranking second. From January to September this year, BYD, FAW-Volkswagen, Changan, Geely and SAIC-Volkswagen ranked the top five in retail sales.
