CTOnews.com, October 19, Ookla, the parent company of SpeedTest, a well-known network speed measurement platform, released a network speed test report on the Chinese market in the third quarter of this year, analyzing the network speed of operators and their 5G performance, different equipment manufacturers and even different cities in this quarter.

The summary data of CTOnews.com are as follows:

In September, the average median download speed of Chinese operators was 167.98Mbps, and the average median upload speed was 28.16Mbps.

▲ source Ookla, the same as China Mobile, became the fastest mobile operator in the mobile network due to the median download speed of 179.81Mbps. China Telecom ranked second with 126.41Mbps, and China Unicom ranked third with 118.63Mbps speed.

In terms of 5G network, China Radio and Television ranked first in the median download speed with 297.59Mbps speed in this quarter, and China Mobile ranked second with 276.99Mbps speed. China Unicom and China Telecom ranked third and fourth, respectively, with median 5G download speeds of 230.02Mbps and 222.92Mbps respectively.

In terms of network stability, China Mobile once again took the lead in that quarter, with a stability of 95.6%, while China Unicom and China Telecom ranked second and third with 94.1% and 93.5% respectively.

In terms of specific devices, Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro ranked first and second in the quarter, with median download speeds of 286.08Mbps and 257.79Mbps, respectively, while Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ 5G ranked third and median download speed was 244.92Mbps.

In terms of mobile phone manufacturers, Apple continued to rank first in the median download rankings in the quarter, with a median download speed of 165.74 Mbps, followed by Honor at 149.75Mbps.

In terms of regions, Beijing had the fastest median download speed in this quarter, reaching 220.21Mbps, while Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou and Shenyang ranked second to fifth respectively.
