The growth rate of pure trams has slowed sharply for two years in a row, and new energy cars seem to have become the world of mixed and extended cars. In fact, pure trams are still the mainstream of the market, as long as the "overcharged buff" is stacked to bring fuel car-style sense of security, there is no hidden energy anxiety, pure trams will return to the high growth channel. After all, fuel-burning electric hybrids are only transitional products.
And overcharging is the power source to activate pure trams. To solve the user energy anxiety, the overcharged battery for the mainstream users of the public will profoundly change the product route of the mainframe factory and directly affect the competition pattern.
It is no wonder that the Shenxing overcharged battery just released in Ningde era has been "frantically robbed" by domestic and foreign car companies.
The mainframe factory strives to be the "overloaded first brand".
The Shenxing overcharge battery of "charging for 10 minutes and a range of 400 kilometers" is still realized on the lithium iron phosphate material with a cost advantage, focusing on "everyone can enjoy, cars can use", and a range of more than 700 kilometers. Which car company will not like it?
As soon as Shenxing superrechargeable battery was released in August, car companies took turns to declare that they would be the "first brand of overcharge". Avita took the lead in announcing the first batch of vehicles on the day of release; on October 7, Naha automobile officials announced that they would purchase Shenxing overcharged batteries; on October 16, the first landing model was finally unveiled, and Shenxing overcharged batteries landed in the Qirui Star era.
Auto companies are far from over, and it has been revealed that further information will be announced at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. According to official sources, Shenxing's overcharged batteries will be in mass production by the end of this year and will go on sale in the first quarter of next year.
Not only that, at the IAA Munich Motor Show, many European mainframe manufacturers expressed their willingness to cooperate, and even German Chancellor Schultz clocked in at the Ningde-era booth. Europe is already the second largest market for new energy vehicles in the world, and the proportion of pure trams is the highest in the world. However, the electric transformation of European car companies is slow, and the efficiency of energy replenishment is also full of challenges, so there is an urgent need for Shenxing to overcharge the battery.
Shenxing overcharged battery "get on the car fast", but also achieved "mass production fast", behind the Ningde era limit manufacturing capacity in the support. In the face of enthusiastic demand, Gao Huan, CTO of the domestic passenger car division of Ningde era, said: "there is no conflict between existing production capacity and planning. As long as we upgrade the production line, we can achieve rapid mass production (Shenxing overcharged batteries)." At present, Ningde era has 13 production bases around the world, which can produce 1 cell in 1 second and a module in 20 seconds, and achieve PPB level safety (1/1000000000 failure rate).
Following the overcharging trend, pure trams will return to the high growth channel.
The emergence of Shenxing overcharged batteries may fundamentally reverse the growth trend of pure trams and plug-in extended-range cars.
In the past two years, although the number of pure trams is still more than 2Accord 3 (the latest figure from the Ministry of Public Security is 76.9%), the growth rate of pure tram sales has been plummeting since 2021. According to the China Automobile Association, the year-on-year growth of pure trams was 158.69% in 2021, falling to 68.45% in 2022 and further to 26.4% in January-August 2023. "the penetration of new energy vehicles is peaking", and the market is in urgent need of new technologies such as overcharging to break the situation iteratively.
Nowadays, the demand of users has been iterated to the speed of replenishment. Gao Huan, CTO of the domestic passenger car division of Ningde era, said that the battery from the original high energy density to lithium iron phosphate can easily achieve a range of 700km or even 800km. After the pain point of the mileage is alleviated, people must pay more attention to the speed of energy replenishment, and after the speed of energy replenishment increases, I think everyone's requirements for battery life will be reduced. The improvement of energy replenishment speed is bound to become a very important direction for the industry.
Under the automobile "price war", it is necessary to overcharge the stimulus to break the "inner volume". The key word in the car market this year can be described as "price reduction". In addition to the reasons for the decline in the price of battery raw materials, the market competition is highly fierce, and the advantages of intelligent, 100-kilometer acceleration and quiet electric vehicles such as "big screen" and "multi-screen" are gradually reduced to "platitudes". There is an urgent need for new stimulus points to drive automotive products, to solve the pain points of energy replenishment, or to reproduce the driving points of the leap-forward transformation from oil to electricity. Shenxing overcharged battery is the beginning of this game.
On the contrary, the plug-in extended-range vehicle has become the main driving force for the growth of new energy vehicles. From January to August this year, plug-in plus extended-range sales of 1.529 million vehicles, an increase of 86.9% over the same period last year.
The key to this result is that the plug-in extended-range car can provide a fuel-car-style "sense of security", which can not only drive in pure electric mode, but also replenish energy as easily as a fuel truck. It has to be said that plug-in hybrid and taxi is a very excellent transitional product scheme under the current technology.
But when the Shenxing overcharged battery makes up for the energy deficiency of the pure tram, there is little advantage left to plug in the mixed car. The plug-in and additional cars lined up at the charging station only illustrate one truth-"the hybrid in pure electric mode is all," and users still attach great importance to fuel economy, so they can use pure electric mode or not to burn fuel. So, why not buy an overcharged pure streetcar?
The future of plug-in and extended distance of pure tram is bleak.
The industry has always believed that pure electric vehicles are the ultimate form of new energy vehicles in the future, while plug-in and add-on electric vehicles are transitional products. Previously, the charging facilities are not perfect and the charging time is long, because they can not reach the energy replenishment capacity of fuel vehicles. Plug-in and hybrid came into being, and mixing has a certain value in the transition stage from gasoline to new energy.

This means that in the vast majority of cases where overcharging has been achieved, pure trams have been able to meet the daily travel needs of users, weakening the advantages of hybrid models to some extent.
More importantly, unlike the ternary lithium overcharge battery, the Shenxing overcharge battery is the first 4C overcharge battery in the world to achieve mass production in lithium iron phosphate, and the mainframe factory will load on a large scale only if it has the basis for large-scale popularization. As Gao Huan said, Shenxing overcharged battery is not a breakthrough in energy density, but a breakthrough in energy replenishment speed, which is the product of equal power of science and technology that Ningde wants to do.
