Every time Intel releases a new processor, it is bound to be accompanied by overclocking experiments by overclocking enthusiasts around the world, hoping to constantly refresh the frequency limit.

Elmor has previously used the feverish Asustek ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard to refresh CPU overclocking records by overclocking Core i9-13900K, with the ability to run at slightly higher speeds than 9 GHz.

Elmor uses the upgraded Asustek Z790 ROG Apex Encore motherboard this year to overclock the latest flagship Core i9-14900K to the 9.1GHz frequency.

CTOnews.com note: during overclocking, Elmor disables the energy-saving core of the Core i9-14900KF processor and enables multithreading support, using liquid helium at temperatures below-200C to cool the chip.

Although the processor reaches the target frequency of 9.1 GHz according to the CPU-Z utility, the HWBot database that publishes the overclocking results contains information about overclocking recorded to the 9044 MHz frequency.
