CTOnews.com October 19, Microsoft once again launched a challenge to competitors. This time, Microsoft will vigorously promote Bing Chat when users try to use rival Google's Bard chat robot on Edge browsers.

This change appears in the latest version of Canary (v. 120.0.2168.0) of Edge, where users will pop up an ad recommending Bing Chat if they search for "google bard" on the latest version. After opening Bard, a Bing icon appears in the address bar, advising users to open Bing Chat in split-screen mode and compare their answers.

Microsoft has previously extended Bing Chat, which was originally unique to Edge browsers, to rival browsers, such as Chrome. However, Microsoft initially limited the number of its chats and characters.

CTOnews.com notes that Microsoft has several advantages in the competition for the best AI search engine. The company has most of the desktop market share and integrates Bing Chat and Copilot into many popular applications.
