CTOnews.com, Oct. 19, according to Deadline media reports, Apple and Sky Dance Animation (Skydance Animation) have agreed to terminate their partnership on the "Spellbound" project. Under the agreement, Apple will waive the rights to the animated film "Spellbound" project.

"Sky Dance Animation and Apple will continue to work together on other films and TV series, but both sides agree that this animated feature film is not suitable to expand the IP lineup through Apple Original Films," Deadline wrote in the report.

CTOnews.com Note: Sky Dance Media (Skydance Media, LLC, formerly Skydance Productions) partnered with Eleon Animation Studio (Ilion Animation Studios) on March 16, 2017 to establish Sky Dance Animation (Skydance Animation).

In 2019, Sky Dance hired John Lasseter, former Disney chief creative officer and former Pixar creative director, as head of the animation division.

Lasseter, who currently resigned from the company, made an animated film called Luck for Apple's Apple TV+ during his tenure.

"Spellbound" is directed by "Shrek" director Vicky Jenson, but also found the animated film "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin" soundtrack winner Alan Menken soundtrack, the story is set in a mysterious place a power is divided into two magical countries, a mother is determined to break this ancient mysterious curse.
