CTOnews.com October 18 news, Seagate today released the Exos X24 mechanical hard drive, capacity up to 24TB.

IT House organizes Seagate's new Exos X24 mechanical hard drive as follows:

The Exos X24 series features a 10-disk design with a capacity of 2.4TB per disk, making it Seagate's current highest density hard drive.

Designed for maximum storage capacity and maximum rack space efficiency, the Exos X24 hard drive features a 3.5in form factor, 7200 RPM rpm, SATA and SAS interfaces, enhanced cache, continuous data rate (SDR) of up to 285MB/s, and a 2.5 million hour interval between failures (MTBF) rating. In addition, it offers Seagate Secure encryption technology, self-encrypting drives (SED), SED-FIPS and instant secure erase (ISE), with a limited 5-year warranty.

Seagate's Exos X24 hard drives have now been shipped to major customers and mass-produced hard drives will be distributed through mass supply channels in December.
