I. the overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market in August 2023, the domestic market shipped 18.985 million mobile phones, an increase of 0.03% over the same period last year, of which 15.645 million were 5G mobile phones, an increase of 9.6% over the same period last year, accounting for 82.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to August 2023, total mobile phone shipments in the domestic market totaled 167 million units, down 4.5% from the same period last year, of which 133 million 5G phones were shipped, down 3.8% from the same period last year, accounting for 79.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

▲ Tuyuan China Information and Communication Institute in August 2023, 55 new mobile phones were listed in China, an increase of 14.6 percent over the same period last year, including 30 5G mobile phones, an increase of 50.0 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 54.5 percent of the number of new mobile phones on the market in the same period.

From January to August 2023, there were a total of 293 new models on the market, an increase of 8.1 percent over the same period last year, of which 133 5G phones were down 5.7 percent from the same period last year, accounting for 45.4 percent of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

In August 2023, domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market shipped 16.843 million domestic brand mobile phones, down 5.7% from the same period last year, accounting for 88.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. 47 new models were listed, up 23.7% from the same period last year, accounting for 85.5% of the number of new mobile phones on the market in the same period.

From January to August 2023, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 138 million, down 8.7% from the same period last year, accounting for 82.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. A total of 266 new models were on the market, an increase of 7.3% over the same period last year, accounting for 90.8% of the number of new mobile phones on the market in the same period.

Development of domestic smartphones in August 2023, shipments of 17.926 million smartphones, down 1.2% from the same period last year, accounted for 94.4% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to August 2023, 160 million smartphones were shipped, down 6.7% from the same period last year, accounting for 95.5% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In August 2023, 46 new models of smartphones were launched, an increase of 7.0% over the same period last year, accounting for 83.6% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

From January to August 2023, a total of 247 new models of smartphones were launched, an increase of 7.9% over the same period last year, accounting for 84.3% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.
