CTOnews.com reported on October 18 that according to its retail data, the price segment structure of the national urban market continued to rise, with a significant increase in high-end model sales and a decrease in low-and medium-price models. Need to effectively encourage low-end consumption, after all, half of the households do not have a car, low-end consumption potential is greater.

The proportion of vehicles with less than 50,000 yuan in 2021-2022 continues to rise compared with 2020, mainly due to the sales contribution of mini electric vehicles. From January to September this year, sales of vehicles with less than 50,000 yuan currently accounted for only 3.1%, down 1 percentage point from last year.

After offsetting the decline in sales of 5-100000 traditional models and the growth of new energy vehicles, the sales share of 50-100000 yuan models was only 15.6%, down 4.6% from last year and still on the low side.

The market share of 10-150000 models recovered quickly by 33.6%. In recent years, the proportion of more than 150000 models has continued to rise, especially more than 300000 models accounted for 14.4%, an increase of 3.2% over last year, reflecting the obvious trend of high-end development brought about by the growth of new energy for passenger cars.

CTOnews.com learned from the passenger association report that from October 1 to 15, retail sales in the passenger car market were 796000, an increase of 23% over the same period last year and 14% over the same period last month. Retail sales have totaled 16.029 million so far this year, up 3 per cent from the same period last year.
