Canalys believes that Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud and Amazon Cloud Technology (AWS), three manufacturers, have topped the domestic cloud computing market and channel partner ecosystem chain, so they have been awarded the title of "Champions."

In addition to the Champions designation, other vendors are classified as Contenders (strong in business development and channel strategy), Scalers (low in channel leadership but strong in driving industry progress), and Foundations (lagging behind in supporting and advancing channel partner programs).
Canalys also believes that the development of China's cloud channel market is still in its early stages, the market lacks a clear understanding of the role and responsibility of partners, and some vendors still hold a traditional view of partners as middlemen engaged in pure resale or distribution.
Given the challenges facing the Chinese cloud services market in acquiring new customers, leading cloud vendors have recognized the growing importance of the channel ecosystem.
Customer demand in China's cloud computing market has changed significantly-the customer base from the Internet industry has been saturated, while the customer base from less digital industries is more inclined to obtain customized cloud migration solutions.
Now more than ever, the evolution of channel ecosystems is critical, enabling rapid, low-cost expansion of customer reach to meet changing customer needs.
Cloud service usage and consumption patterns require vendors to shift the way they collaborate with channels. Customers are increasingly relying on partner support to cope with IT complexity and are placing higher demands on aftermarket operations and service capabilities. Canalys claims that revenue opportunities for China's cloud channel ecosystem will become increasingly apparent in the future. More partners expressed a clear desire to develop their own capabilities and technical support through partnership programmes. Cloud vendors need to expand support and training for partners while ensuring partner satisfaction and mutual business growth. While competitors strive to capture the attention of emerging partner groups, the biggest challenge facing champions is how to maintain their leadership position over the next 12 months.
