The development board is mainly designed for the end-to-side scene of intelligent IoT, the latest generation of K230 chip on board, which integrates dual-core RISC-V CPU and the third generation KPU. K230 has built-in stereo vision 3D depth engine DPU, which can process 720p or 1080p 3D depth image data in real time.

CTOnews.com query found that K230 uses Xuan tie C908 dual-core processor, which is a RISC-V dual-core processor and the first commercial RISC-V chip in the world to support RVV 1.0. Its CPU main frequency 1.6 GHz core CPU processing power is 8.5 times that of K210, and the built-in third generation self-developed KPU, the data processing performance of KPU under typical network model is 13.7 times that of K210.

The board is known as "low power fast start", and the power consumption of the whole board is less than 2W in typical application scenarios. It supports machine vision / auditory multimodal identification and can carry out a variety of audio analysis and processing.

In addition, CanMV-K230 onboard 3D depth engine, three-way video input, H.264 / H.265 hardware codec and other functional units can support the rapid development and deployment of various AI applications.

The CanMV-K230 embedded AI development board is long 85mm and wide 56mm, which is the same size as the raspberry pie 4b. A K230 main chip on board, with 512MB LPDDR3 memory. The development board uses a TF card to store and run programs, and users need to provide a mobile phone storage card, which can be used after downloading the firmware.

The CanMV-K230 development board has three MIPI-CSI camera input interfaces (an OV5647 5-megapixel high-definition camera module is included with the board; two sets of camera inputs are reserved on the back). The video output is the 1080p HD HDMI output interface, or the LCD screen is displayed through the onboard MIPI-DSI screen output interface (choose one of the HDMI output and MIPI-DSI output).

The development board provides two Type-C USB 2.0 interfaces, and one USB is used to power the development board. At the same time, it also has a USB serial port conversion chip, which will generate two serial ports on the computer to debug the large core and small core CPU respectively. Users only need to connect a USB cable to the computer. The other USB port supports OTG function, which can be used to connect various peripherals or to communicate with the host computer. The development board provides a 100-megabit Ethernet port and a WIFI / BT module, as well as a 40PIN GPIO expansion terminal to provide peripheral interface extension.
