CTOnews.com October 18 news, Microsoft recently began to invite some Windows Insider project members to test the offline function of the Win11 system Outlook application.

The new version of Outlook started Beta testing in May 2022, based on Outlook.com and Microsoft Edge WebView, and launched on the Win11 platform in September this year.

The new version of Outlook is based on the network and cannot be used normally when the network is off. Microsoft recently began inviting users to test the offline features of the new version of Outlook, which can also run some functions such as calendars without a network connection.

According to the Microsoft 365roadmap, Microsoft is testing the offline functionality of the new Outlook, which allows users to access features such as email, calendar entries and contacts without a valid Internet connection, which will appear in the form of Service Worker.

CTOnews.com Note: Service Worker is between the Web application and Internet, getting data and files from some pages of Outlook. The service remembers some data and files for you when you are online, and Service Worker can access cached data and files when you try to access Web applications without an Internet connection.

Microsoft points out that offline support will also cover other core mail features, such as you can mark e-mail messages, transfer them to different folders, and delete them.
