According to the latest findings from Android whistleblower Mishaal Rahman, MGLRU is enabled by default for all Android 14 kernels (android14-5.15and android14-6.1). The core of Google Pixel 8 series is based on android14-5.1GKI, which is the first phone in the world to enable MGLRU by default.

Mishaal Rahman said that Google's benchmark test shows that when MGLRU is enabled, the overall startup time of App will be improved, the overall number of process deaths will be reduced, kswapd CPU usage will be reduced, and so on. The flagship products of the next generation of Qualcomm and MediaTek chipsets should also enable this feature by default.
