CTOnews.com, Oct. 18, Oracle recently released a maintenance update for VirtualBox 7.0.12, focusing on fixing user feedback and official discovery of BUG in the previous version, improved support for Linux Kernel 6.4 Linux 6.5, and initially supported Linux 6.6 update.

This update also fixed the problem of saving status of trusted platform module (TPM), fixed black screen and other BUG,CTOnews.com, and attached the following updates:

VMM: fixed an issue with using debuggers within Guest in some scenarios.

VMM: fixed an issue where VT-x was detected by other hypervisors.

VMM: brings improvements in the split lock detection feature of the latest Intel CPU on Linux hosts.

GUI: fixed an issue where nested hardware virtualization settings were not displayed in the virtual machine details panel.

GUI: introduced NLS updates in Croatian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch and Turkish, and added overall appearance improvements.

Device: fixed a black screen problem in Windows with multiple Guest screens after 3D was disabled.

Device: fixed the PCI device identifier for the VirtIO network interface.

Device: fixed VLAN support for VirtIO network interface.

Device: fixed loading saved state when configuring TPM.

Network: fixed a memory leak in the VBoxIntNetSwitch process on macOS.

Network: fixed a TCP connection with an IP address ending with .2 when using a NAT network connection.

Audio: fixed a problem using the WAS backend to switch host audio devices on Windows hosts.

VRDP: general improvements have been added.

VBoxManage: added improvements to the "list usbfilters" command.

Unattended: added startup file support for Oracle Linux 8 and Oracle Linux 9.

Linux hosts and guests: fixed some "cross-domain write" kernel warnings.

Linux Guest Additions: add many fixes to the RHEL 8.9 and 9.3 kernels.

Linux Guest Additions: added more fixes for kernel 6. 4.

Linux Guest Additions: added initial support for the OpenSUSE 15.5 kernel.

Linux Guest Additions: added initial support for kernels 6.5 and 6.6.

Linux Guest Additions: a version report with the "rcvboxadd status-kernel" and "rcvboxadd status-user" commands added.

BIOS: support for ISA SCSI HBA has been restored in BIOS.
