CTOnews.com, Oct. 18, according to an internal service memo shared with Apple's authorized service provider today, Apple is investigating problems with some Apple Watch screens that briefly flash or "jump" when they turn on "Always On" mode.

The memo does not specify which models of the Apple Watch are affected, but the problem appears to be most common in Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, which were released last month. Many users have complained about this problem on MacRumors forums, Reddit and Apple support community sites. This problem seems to exist in all versions of watchOS 10, including the latest version of watchOS 10.0.2.

Apple said service providers should not repair the affected watches, but advised customers to keep their Apple Watch software updated, which means Apple will provide fixes in future watchOS updates. It is not clear whether Apple has solved the problem in watchOS 10.1, which is expected to be officially released to the public next week.

Apple said that as a temporary solution, customers can turn off "round-the-clock display" mode in the setup app.

CTOnews.com noted that another issue Apple is investigating is that complex features on the watch dial, such as activity rings, may "temporarily turn pink", another problem that some users have reported online in recent weeks.
