The Lens in the map (formerly known as Search with Live View) will be able to use the phone's screen reader to read aloud the surrounding points of interest, which may be helpful for users who can't read the screen. Google said the feature would be available on iOS from today and an Android version "later this year".

Other Google products also have some new features. Pixel phone users (Pixel 5 and above) can use the camera's magnifying glass to help magnify everything from street signs to sewing thread. Guided Frame, which was announced last year to help blind or visually impaired users take better selfies, is now available on Pixel 8 and 8 Pro and will be launched on phones such as Pixel 6 later this year. Finally, Assistant Routines (perfect for setting up smart home automation) also has updated accessibility, including the size of shortcuts.
