CTOnews.com, Oct. 18, according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a patent for Vision Pro headdisplay technology, demonstrating that users can get an immersive virtual experience by wearing an Vision Pro headdisplay in a car in the future self-driving scene.

The vehicle's VR system will allow users such as executives to hold virtual meetings on their way to work, and allow users to play complex VR games, read books or talk to their families while traveling.

CTOnews.com also learned from the patent overview that passengers are free to choose a virtual experience and let users imagine themselves in a boat drifting on a river, flying in the sky on a hang glider, car chase, driving through a post-apocalyptic wasteland attacked by zombies, and so on.

Passengers can also experience virtual experiences such as London's streets, walking through fictional cities or landscapes in the VR scene.

Virtual experiences can be educational and interactive, such as allowing passengers to find historical or other information about landmarks in a virtual view of the city they are experiencing. Virtual experiences can interact in other ways, such as allowing passengers to overtake other vehicles during road racing experiences, or crushing zombies in a post-apocalyptic landscape.
