CTOnews.com, Oct. 17, according to South Korean media The Elec, Apple has added 5 million OLED panels to the Samsung display (Samsung Display) for the iPhone 15 Pro model, and is expected to add another 2 million by the end of this year.

Samsung display is currently in charge of supplying four iPhone 15 series screens. Apple has added 7 million OLED panels to the iPhone 15 Pro, which is mainly 6.1in. Apple has not yet placed an additional order for screens from another supplier, LG Display.

It is reported that LG Display is also an important OLED panel supplier to the iPhone 15 Pro series, and Samsung charges more than LG Display, but Apple still chooses Samsung because of many factors such as yield.

CTOnews.com previously quoted DSCC as saying that Samsung Display supplied all four iPhone 15 models, accounting for 87 per cent of the total, while LG Display accounted for 13 per cent, of which iPhone 15 Pro screen orders accounted for 9 per cent.
