CTOnews.com, October 17, according to the latest report released by Jibang Consulting, due to the impact of the global economic downturn, global smartwatch shipments are estimated to be 130 million in 2023. Apple took the lead with more than 30 per cent, followed by Samsung (nearly 10 per cent), Huawei, Garmin and Fitbit.

The report believes that major smartwatch manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung and Huawei will adopt a more conservative approach to research and development in the face of many uncertainties. Although they will continue to innovate and launch new products, their design concepts tend to be upgraded incrementally.

These manufacturers will be more cautious in launching high-end watch models, and some may dabble in other smart wearable devices, but these new devices face challenges in data analysis, application integration and market maturity.

It is reported that when Apple, Samsung and Huawei will not upgrade their processor performance at this stage, they will actively take advantage of AI technology to achieve more accurate measurements by fine-tuning sensor data, or dynamically adjust chip performance and battery life.
