CTOnews.com October 17 news, TSMC founder Zhang Zhongmou recently said that in the field of technology, Intel can not shake TSMC's leading position in the industry, and continues to be in the "shadow" of TSMC.

TSMC CTOnews.com Note: Intel CEO Pat Kissinger (Pat Gelsinger) said in an interview last month that Intel plans to catch up with Apple's Apple Silicon chip next year.

However, TSMC's Zhang Zhongmou does not agree with this view, saying in an interview with Money.UDN.com that Intel does not pose a major threat to TSMC.

Zhang Zhongmou believes that although Intel has received strong support and recognition from the US government, it will be difficult for Intel to pose a substantial threat to TSMC unless it enhances the comprehensive strength of OEM in many aspects, such as technological leadership, yield, and competitive pricing.

Zhang Zhongmou said that even if Intel's contract manufacturing business is successful, it is still under the shadow of TSMC.
