CTOnews.com, Oct. 16, reported that Geely Holdings Group sold a total of 264400 vehicles in September, up 26% from a year earlier. Sales of new energy vehicles were 93700, an increase of 38 per cent over the same period last year, with a new energy penetration rate of 35 per cent.

CTOnews.com noted that Geely Automobile Group (including Geely, Lecker, Polar Krypton and Ruilan) sold 170472 vehicles in September, up 31 per cent from the same month last year and 12 per cent from the previous month, setting a new monthly sales record and maintaining year-on-year and month-on-month growth for eight consecutive months. Sales of new energy vehicles were 53692, up about 14 per cent and 37 per cent year-on-year.

Volvo sold 61666 cars worldwide in September, up 25 per cent from a year earlier. New energy models accounted for 34 per cent and pure electric models accounted for 15 per cent.

Polaris delivered about 13900 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter, up 50 per cent from a year earlier, while global delivery in the first nine months was about 41700, up 37 per cent from a year earlier.

Proton sold 116832 cars in the first three quarters.
