CTOnews.com October 15, Apple's upcoming release of M3 MacBook Pro / Air and new iPad ushered in the latest development.

Although Apple will launch a new MacBook in October in previous years, Mark Gurman said the latest signs are that Apple will not release new laptops and iPad Pro this month.

According to his latest "Power On" newsletter, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro equipped with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips have just entered the DVT verification stage, but there is still a long way to go before mass production.

EVT (Engineering Verification Test)

DVT (Design Verification Test)

PVT (product verification testing)

The final stage of mass production.

Gurman believes that this development indicates that the M3 MacBook Pro / Air is expected to be released between the beginning of 2024 and the spring of 2024, which is roughly in line with the release date of the current 14 Universe 16-inch MacBook Pro (January 2023).

He also mentioned that the 13-inch MacBook Air and 15-inch MacBook Air lagged slightly behind the Pro series and had just entered the EVT phase, and he estimated that these models would be released in the spring or summer of 2024.

In addition, Gurman also mentioned that Apple's new iPad Pro with a new design, an OLED display, a faster chip and a redesigned Magic Keyboard keyboard will not be available until next year.
