CTOnews.com, Oct. 15 (Reuters)-Australian regulators fined X (CTOnews.com: about 2.814 million yuan) A $615,000 for failing to cooperate with the investigation into anti-child abuse practices, Reuters reported.

CTOnews.com noted that regulators said X's violations were more serious, including failure to answer questions about the time it took to respond to reports of child abuse, the measures taken to detect child abuse in live broadcasts, and the number of content reviews, safety and public policy personnel.

X told regulators that 80 per cent of staff had been laid off worldwide and that there were no public policy staff in Australia, compared with only two before Mr Musk took over.

"eliminating child exploitation is a top priority," Musk said in a post after the Twitter acquisition. But Australian regulators said that when asked how X could prevent child deception on the platform, X responded that it was "not a service used by a large number of young people".

X said it abandoned proactive detection of child abuse in public posts after Musk's acquisition.
