According to CTOnews.com news on October 15, the first batch of 1.2 million kilowatt local consumption project of the first phase of the 6 million kilowatt demonstration project of the State Power Investment Wulanchabu Wind Power Base has been completed, laying a solid foundation for the synchronous production and grid generation of the supporting project.

CTOnews.com learned from the State Power Investment that the first phase of the 6 million kilowatt demonstration project of Wulanchabu Wind Power Base is the most continental upwind power project in the world. The project is located in the central and eastern part of Siziwang Banner, Wulanchabu City, with a total planned site area of about 2072 square kilometers.

After the full capacity of 6 million kilowatt wind power is connected to the grid, it can provide clean power of about 18 billion kilowatts per year, replace 6 million tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide (CO) emissions by 15.3 million tons, SO dioxide emissions by 45000 tons, and soot emissions by 7560 tons.

It is understood that wind power generation refers to the conversion of wind kinetic energy into electricity, which is a kind of clean and pollution-free renewable energy. By the end of June 2023, China's installed wind power capacity was about 390 million kilowatts, an increase of 13.7 percent over the same period last year.
