At 9: 00 on October 15, 2003, China's first manned spacecraft, Shenzhou V, was successfully launched, and China's first astronaut Yang Liwei became the first Chinese visitor to vast space. At 6: 00 on October 16, the Shenzhou V spacecraft returned to the embrace of the motherland, and the Chinese people successfully flew into space for the first time, and China became the third country in the world to independently master manned space technology.

According to CCTV, the Shenzhou 17 spacecraft will be launched from the Jiuquan Satellite launch Center this month as planned, docking the forward port of the core module of the Chinese space station, forming a combination of three cabins and three ships, and continuing to carry out space science and technical experiments.

CTOnews.com noted that according to the basic introduction of the 2023 manned space mission previously released by the China manned Space Engineering Office, the flight crew of the Shenzhou 17 manned spacecraft is still composed of three astronauts.

At present, the three astronauts of Shenzhou 16, who are at the space station, plan to return to the Dongfeng landing site in November this year. Before they return, they will usher in the visit and docking of the Shenzhou 17 manned spacecraft.
