The Exchange 2013 OWA interface has changed a lot compared to exchange 2010, and many users who use exchange 2010 OWA are not used to it. So users want to be able to use public computers or private computers in OWA in exchange 2013 and continue to use them. (the public computer option timeout is 15 minutes, and the private computer option timeout is 8 hours.)

The following is the configuration process for the above requirements:

The Exchange 2010 OWA login interface is shown in the following figure:

This option is controlled by the LogonPagePublicPrivateSelectionEnabled parameter. By default, the status of this parameter in exchange 2010 is: True, as shown below:

In Exchange 2013, this parameter defaults to: False. By default, we use a private computer when logging in to Exchange 2013 OWA, with a timeout of 8 hours.

We just need to activate this parameter as follows:

Log in to the exchange 2013 CAS server, open EMS with administrator privileges, and execute the following command: Set-OwaVirtualDirectory "2013cas\ owa (Default Web Site)"-LogonPagePublicPrivateSelectionEnabled $True

After setting up, restart IIS

IISreset / noforce Let's log in to exchange 2013 OWA again, and the results are as follows:

If you want to change the timeout for private and public computers, we can create two registry keys on the Exchange 2013 CAS server with the following command:

Change the private computer login timeout to: 120 minutes

Set-ItemProperty "HKLM:\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ MSExchange OWA"-Name PrivateTimeout-Value 120-Type DWORD

Modify the timeout of the public computer to: 30 minutes

Set-ItemProperty "HKLM:\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ MSExchange OWA"-Name PublicTimeout-Value 30-Type DWORD

Restart IIS:

IISreset / noforce
