CTOnews.com, October 14 (Xinhua)-- the first batch of domestic MINI pure electric vehicles jointly built by BMW and Great Wall has been officially off-line at the beam car factory in Zhangjiagang, a number of car media and bloggers said today.

@ Touch Horizon revealed more details about the launch ceremony: the new car is a high-equipped SE version of the new generation of MINI COOPER, equipped with a front single motor, with a maximum power and torque of 330N ·m, zero acceleration of 6.7s, and a battery capacity of 54.2kWhLTP with a range of 402km. In addition, the new car supports 11kW AC slow charge and 95kW DC fast charge.

In addition, blogger @ SugarDesign said in a blog post in September this year that he had photographed a test car of a domestic all-electric MINI model, and the picture shows that the new car is equipped with the tail mark of "beam car".

CTOnews.com previously reported that BMW announced in September that the next generation of MINI all-electric models will be put into production in China, and the beam car, a joint venture between BMW Group and Great Wall Motors, will become the world's first manufacturer and major export base for new cars.

The next-generation all-electric MINI is planned to include a three-door MINI Cooper and a compact crossover. The two new cars have almost been put into production at the beam automobile factory and are available to the domestic and international markets. In terms of specific time, domestic MINI pure electric models will be exported to overseas markets in 2024.

Also in September, BMW unveiled 2025 pure electric models, the MINI Cooper E and SE, at the launch of its new products at the Munich auto show.

The beam car, a joint venture between Great Wall and BMW, was launched in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province on November 20, 2019. The project has a total investment of 5.1 billion yuan and has an annual production capacity of 160000 vehicles, including the full export manufacture of fuel passenger cars and the development of pure electric passenger cars.
