According to the data, the wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 830000 in September, an increase of 23 percent over the same period last year, and an increase of 8 percent over the previous month. Retail sales in the new energy vehicle market in September were 745000, up 22 percent from a year earlier and 12 percent from a month earlier.

Wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 5.91 million from January to September, an increase of 36 per cent over the same period last year.

Retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 5.2 million from January to September, an increase of 34 per cent over the same period last year.

In September, the export of new energy passenger vehicles was 90,000, up 102% from the same period last year, down 12% from August, accounting for 25.4% of passenger car exports, accounting for 740000 in January-September, an increase of 1.1% over the same period last year.

The wholesale penetration rate of new energy vehicle manufacturers in September was 33.9%, 4.6 percentage points higher than the 29.3% penetration rate in September 2022. The data for each category are as follows:

-49.9% penetration of new energy in independent brands

-New energy penetration in luxury cars is 31.1%.

-5.8% of new energy penetration in mainstream joint venture brands

The domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles in September was 36.9%, up 5.1 percentage points from 31.8% in the same period last year. The data for each breakdown are as follows:

-the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in luxury cars is 24.0%.

-the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in mainstream joint venture brands is 6.2%.
