Valve said that the AMD graphics card this function is achieved by bypassing the engine dll function, will tamper with the game code. Valve warns that "any tampering with CS code will lead to a VAC ban", so it is recommended that AMD players do not enable the Anti-Lag+ feature.

"VAC", whose full name is Valve Anti-Cheat, is an anti-cheating system developed by Valve, which first appeared in the 2002 Anti-Terrorism Elite 1.6. it will monitor data in real time in the game to protect the competitive fairness of gamers.

Nvidia previously said it also supports CS2 with its own NVIDIA Reflex technology, which is supported on GeForce GTX 900s and later GeForce graphics cards and can reduce system latency by up to 35 per cent in CS2 games. At present, this technology has been integrated in the game, and players can turn it on through the Game Ready driver. There is no need to tamper with the game code, and it will not be blocked.
