New chips the current Apple TV 4K is equipped with the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13 series, and the media expects the 2024 Apple TV to be equipped with a new A series chip.

Apple does not usually design a special chip for the Apple TV, and it is expected that the new Apple TV will use the same A16 chip as the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 standard version.

There is a smaller possibility, however, that using the same A17 Pro chip as the iPhone 15 Pro can make the user's gaming experience comparable to that of the console level.

The A17 Pro is Apple's first 3-nanometer chip, which contains 6-core GPU and supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing for the first time to make the game more realistic. Thanks to the A17 Pro chip, a number of console games such as "biochemical Evil 4" and "death stranded" will be launched on iPhone 15 Pro.

But that is less likely. There are reports that Apple wants to lower the price of the Apple TV, while the A17 Pro chip is too expensive.

Wi-Fi 6e or Wi-Fi 7 Apple may bring a new, more modern Wi-Fi protocol to the next generation of Apple TV, but there is no news yet.

The current iPhone 15 Pro model supports Wi-Fi 6e, and it is rumored that Apple will adopt Wi-Fi 7 for the iPhone as soon as next year.

Current Apple TV 4K models support Wi-Fi 6, and it is expected that the new model will support at least Wi-Fi 6e.
