CTOnews.com previously reported that Apple will issue a press release to release iOS 17.1 system updates for iPhone 12 users in France to reduce the energy transfer power when the device is left and placed on a static surface, thus complying with the relevant test requirements of the French National Frequency Authority (ANFR).

Apple said that after the update, iPhone 12 will no longer increase the allowed transmission power when it detects that the phone is in an off-body state, such as when it is placed on the desktop. Therefore, in areas where cellular network signal coverage is weak, this change in antenna transmission power may lead to a slight decline in cellular network performance in some use scenarios where the phone is away from the body. Most users are not expected to feel any impact.

IOS 17.1 has released the third Beta version update, which mainly adjusts the function of the Action button to prevent certain actions from being triggered when the iPhone is in a pocket or bag.

If the iPhone is in your pocket, the camera, flashlight, voice memo, focus and magnifying glass functions will no longer be activated when you mistakenly touch the Action button.

In addition, iOS 17.1 fixed an error that affected the battery life of the iPhone when paired with an Apple Watch running watchOS 10.1.

IOS 17.1 added options to collect songs, albums, playlists, artists, etc., and added favorites to the library and used to provide suggestions. You can use the "playing" widget to collect from the lock screen, and when you start the playlist, users will now see song suggestions.

In addition, AirDrop transmission can be done over the Internet, so there is no need to maintain proximity, and Apple Watch running watchOS 10.1can now use NameDrop with iPhone running iOS 17.1.

Other new features include a flashlight indicator on the non-iPhone 15 Pro Mobile Island and a wallet function that allows Britons to connect to banks to check balances and transactions.
