CTOnews.com, October 12, Dell today launched a special Windows 11 device, the Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme tablet. Pricing and other information has not been released.

This is a 10-inch IP65 triple-defense tablet designed for emergency workers and other professionals who may work in harsh environments, as well as the needs of the factory floor.

The machine has an ambient pressure rating of MIL-STD 810 and has passed a four-foot drop test and a temperature test from-28.8 °C to 62.8 °C.

Dell calls the new Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme "the lightest 10-inch rugged Windows tablet in the world" and weighs just 2.2lb. It is the follow-up and supporting product of the 12-inch Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme tablet.

The tablet features a waterproof touch screen, gloves support, and supports Dell Rugged Active Pen and Rugged 7030 Tablet Premium keyboards (sold separately with CTOnews.com note).

The machine is equipped with 12-generation Intel Core CPU, which is available in i3-1210U, i5-1240U or i7-1260U CPU as well as 8GB to 32GB versions, and is equipped with 2TB Class 25 SSD.

As for the display, the tablet comes with a touchscreen with 1920x1200 resolution, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a Corning gorilla glass protective layer and a brightness of up to 1000 nits.

In other ways, the machine provides 5MP's RGB IR webcam, supports Windows Hello facial recognition, and can also choose a VGA IR camera or a 11MP RGB camera.

The machine has a built-in 36Wh battery, provides 2 USB-C (Lightning 4), 1 USB-A, 1 additional interface, optional configuration includes a barcode scanner, RJ-45, universal audio Jack or additional USB-An interface, a Micro SD card slot, an Micro SIM slot and an optional smart card reader, supports Wi-Fi 6e and 5G, and is equipped with GPS.
