According to the data, retail sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market reached 2.018 million in September, up 5.0% from a year earlier, and 5.0% month-on-month growth of 15.233 million vehicles from January to September, an increase of 2.4% over the same period last year.

Car sales in September were 929000, down 4.9 per cent from a year earlier and up 3.9 per cent from a month earlier, while cumulative sales were 7.213 million, down 2.8 per cent from a year earlier.

MPV sales in September were 101000, up 13.2% from a year earlier and 5.8% from a month earlier, while cumulative sales were 814000, up 18.2% from a year earlier.

SUV sales in September were 988000, up 15.5% from a year earlier and 5.9% from a month earlier, while cumulative sales were 7.207 million, up 6.4% from a year earlier.

In September, sales of new energy passenger cars in the narrow sense were 746000, up 22.1% from the same period last year, up 4.2% from the previous year, and cumulative sales were 5.188 million, up 33.8% from the same period last year.

The top 10 retail sales of new energy manufacturers in September are BYD, Eian, Geely, Tesla China, Changan, SAIC GM Wuling, ideal, Great Wall, Zero run, Weilai; and the top 10 cumulative sales from January to September are BYD, Tesla China, Ean, SAIC GM Wuling, Geely, Changan, ideal, Great Wall, Weilai and Nezha.

Looking at the market share, BYD has an absolute advantage with 34.5% of the "one-third of the country"; Ian and Geely are the second runner-up, with a market share of 6.8%; Tesla China has 5.8% of the market share, followed by Changan and Wuling, each with 5.4%.

Judging from the cumulative value of this year, BYD, Tesla and Ian accounted for 36.3%, 8.4% and 6.9% of the market, respectively.

Judging from the overall list, BYD still had a 12.8% market share in September, while FAW-Volkswagen still ranked second, showing a slight increase over the same period last year, accounting for 8.4% of the market share, and 0.3% from August.
