CTOnews.com October 12, 2016-System76 today announced a redesign of Thelio Linux desktops with an open hardware chassis that moves front-end I / O ports to the top of the chassis.

Carl Richell, CEO of System76, also tweeted some additional pictures and details about its latest Thelio release. Key highlights include:

Front I / O ports moved to top of chassis

The Thelio Linux desktop in SFF form is optimized for AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processors and optimized for CPU / GPU cooling pipes.

Introducing a new fan controller for detailed fan control. Among other improvements, this new controller features separate CPU and GPU headers. Like the hardware of System76, this hardware is open source.

GPU side fan with mounting points.

The new SATA backplane is separate from the system/fan controller for more functionality.

The side etch has been removed to provide a cleaner appearance.
