CTOnews.com, October 12 (Xinhua)-- "Counter-Strike 2" is a sequel to Valve's "counter-Terrorism Elite: global offensive" (CSGO) and the latest in a classic multiplayer shooter series that began in 2000. However, according to recent Steam user reviews, the much-anticipated game has received lower ratings than any other Valve game, including half-Life, half-Life 2 and its documentary, Portal, DOTA 2 and Survival.

Steam user comments fall into two categories, "all comments" and "recent comments". CS2's overall rating, including all the comments, was "particularly favourable". However, these comments also include previous versions of the counter-terrorism elite, including CSGO, because CS2 only inherits the Steam page of the counter-terrorism elite. Based on more than 160000 recent comments, the game has only one "mixed" rating, which is lower than any other Valve game.

CTOnews.com noted that half-Life, half-Life 2, Portal, Portal 2, DOTA 2, two Survival games, and even the much-criticized half-Life: source Code, are based on all reviews and recent reviews without a "mixed" review.

After its release on Wednesday, September 27, "counter-Terrorism Elite 2" received a large number of negative comments on September 28. In the latest CS2 patch, Valve said it had "fixed several hit area alignment errors".
