According to CTOnews.com on October 12, Tesla has sold Wiferion, a wireless charging startup he just acquired in June 2023, to PULS, a DIN track power supplier, for an undisclosed amount. However, it is reported that Tesla will keep Wiferion's engineers.

PULS announced the deal in a press release, and PULS said it would continue to produce, sell and promote Wiferion's wireless charging products in a new business unit, PULS Wireless, which will be based in Germany.

CTOnews.com noted that Tesla never explained why he bought Wiferion, which is speculated to be for Wiferion's wireless charging technology, and Wiferion is considered to be a provider of wireless charging solutions for AMR, AGV and electric forklifts.

Wiferion engineers will not move to PULS, according to The Robot Report, citing a person said to be familiar with the situation. Instead, they will stay at Tesla, engineers who are veterans of the high-power wireless power transmission industry.

PULS said there would be no change in the business operation of producing wireless power systems for Wiferion customers. Wiferion's sales, marketing and support teams will be transferred to a new PULS Wireless department.
