CTOnews.com, October 12 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft said that in order to alleviate the inadaptability of administrators to the pace of upgrade, Microsoft announced an one-year extension of Apache Cassandra 3.11 support for Azure managed instances until the end of 2024.

The Apache Cassandra team has previously said that after the release of version 5.0, support for versions 3.0 and 3.11 will end at the end of 2023, but will now be extended to 2024.

In addition to extending support for Apache Cassandra 3.11, Microsoft is also developing turnkey in-place upgrades to assist administrators with transitional upgrades, with the aim of encouraging users to switch to Cassandra version 4.0 or 4.1.
