Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thank CTOnews.com netizens Rimi Ishihara for the delivery of the clue to happiness! CTOnews.com, October 11, Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. used the independently developed vehicle laser communication ground station to carry out satellite-to-ground laser high-speed image transmission experiments with the "Jilin-1" constellation MF02A04 star-borne laser terminal and achieved success.
This is the first time that China has independently completed the experiment of satellite-to-ground laser high-speed image transmission for operational applications.
According to reports, the communication bandwidth of the satellite-to-ground laser image transmission test is 10Gbps, which is more than 10 times that of the traditional microwave data transmission bandwidth. In the future, Changguang satellite plans to extend this bandwidth to 40Gbps~100Gbps and deploy stations in many places across the country.
CTOnews.com Note: the Jilin-1 constellation is the core project of Changguang satellite under construction. It is an important optical remote sensing satellite constellation in China, covering a total area of 133 million square kilometers. The first group of satellites was launched on October 7, 2015.
At present, the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation project has entered an accelerated networking stage, striving to build a high spatio-temporal resolution constellation of 300 remote sensing satellites by 2025, so as to form the ability to cover the earth's surface once a day.
Long-light satellite officials said that in the future, the long-light satellite will continue to invest in the construction of the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation with the goal of installing a global space monitoring network with no dead corner, all-time and all-weather. It is expected that 138 satellites will be in orbit by the end of 2023, with the ability to revisit at any point in the world for 10 minutes. By the end of 2025, we will have 300 satellites in orbit, with the ability of global sky coverage, and further expand high-resolution infrared, hyperspectral, SAR and other observation methods to provide customers with more abundant remote sensing data products.
