CTOnews.com October 11, Apple today pushed a new firmware update to AirPods Pro 2 users. This update applies to two versions of the second generation AirPods Pro-the Lightning interface charging box version and the USB-C interface charging box version.

The firmware version of this update for AirPods Pro 2 is 6A303, which is for the AirPods Pro 2 headset itself. Twitter user @ aaronp613 pointed out that Apple has also released an update specifically for the USB-C charging box.

According to Apple's website, AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C and Lightning interface are now running the same 6A303 firmware version. Previously, the firmware of the USB-C charging box version lagged one version.

The update is simple: "some bugs and other improvements have been fixed." The update comes after AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 17 added a series of new features last month, including adaptive audio, session awareness and personalized volume. Today's update is likely to focus on improvements to these features and related errors.

Users cannot manually update AirPods to the new firmware version, instead, when AirPods is connected to iPhone via Bluetooth, the new firmware version is automatically installed.
