CTOnews.com, October 10 (Xinhua)-- AMD tonight announced the acquisition of open source artificial intelligence software company Nod.ai to expand its open source AI product capabilities. AMD did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.

According to public information, Nod.ai was founded in 2013, with investors including 8Square Capital, Atlantic Bridge, Pointguard Ventures and Walden International.

A software ecosystem of developer tools, libraries, and models has been developed to accelerate the deployment of AMD chip AI solutions, including Ryzen AI chips for consumer PC, EPYC CPU, Radeon GPU, and Versal processors for data centers.

As of CTOnews.com 's press release, AMD u.s. stocks rose only 0.40% before trading, and are currently quoted at $107.40 a share, with a market capitalization of about $172.828 billion.
