CTOnews.com, October 10 (Xinhua)-- Mercedes-Benz sold 510600 vehicles in the third quarter, down 4% from a year earlier, due to the replacement of E-Class models and GLC supply bottlenecks. Mercedes-Maybach's sales increased by 26% over the same period.

Mercedes-Benz continues to promote electrification, with existing hybrid and pure electric models accounting for 20 per cent of total sales. A total of 61600 all-electric vehicles were sold in the third quarter, an increase of 66 per cent over the same period last year, of which EQS SUV sales increased by 162 per cent and EQA by 108 per cent.

Tuyuan Pexels in the first nine months of this year, Mercedes-Benz electric car sales almost doubled (up 97 per cent), while high-end vehicle sales rose 6 per cent. EQS and EQS SUV models continue to lead the electric luxury car market, with 26300 units sold so far this year, up 53 per cent from a year earlier.

Sales of electric smart reached 3900 in the third quarter, up 107 per cent from a year earlier. Throughout the third quarter, Mercedes-Benz new energy vehicle sales rose 19% to 98400, with more than 1 million Mercedes-Benz electric and hybrid vehicles on the road.

Since the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz has sold 1529800 vehicles (up 2 per cent), in line with Mercedes-Benz's guidance for the year to maintain the same level of sales as in the same period last year.

It is worth mentioning that Mercedes-Benz sold 249400 vehicles in Asia in September, down 10 per cent from a year earlier and 736300 so far this year, of which G-Class and Mercedes-Maybach Q3 sales in China reached a new record of 35 per cent and 30 per cent respectively. In addition, sales of S-Class cars in China reached a new all-time high of 9400 (up 9 per cent).
