Before announcing its official withdrawal from the mobile phone market, LG showed off a smartphone called the LG Rollable; in September last year, the audio showed a concept phone, the Tecno Phantom Ultimate, which pressed a button at the top, and the 6.55-inch screen could expand to 7.11 inches in 1.2-1.3 seconds.

The sound transmission at that time indicated that the scroll screen was made of low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO), with a 7.11-inch screen resolution of 2296 × 1596 and a pixel density of 388PPI (pixels per inch).

The screen of the reel phone comes from Huaxing Optoelectronics, and sources say it plans to commercialize it by the end of 2024, and the screen can withstand external pressure after being extended.

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that vivo is also developing a scroll phone, which may be released at the same time. It is reported that the panel may come from Huaxing Optoelectronics (CSOT) or Samsung display (Samsung Display).

Compared with Samsung display, Huaxing Optoelectronics is considered to be less affected by the output of innovative shape products, so it is possible to cooperate more deeply and participate in the development and supply of vivo reel mobile phone panels.
