CTOnews.com, Oct. 10 (Xinhua)-- the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) at the helm of Elon Musk recently launched a new feature that allows users to choose only authenticated users to reply to their posts.

The screenshot of the X mobile shows that users can choose who can reply to the post, and there are four options, namely, the owner, the authenticated account, the account you follow, and only the account mentioned.

The change comes 11 months after Musk launched the Twitter Blue paid authentication service, with Twitter Blue charging $7.99 a month (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 58 yuan) and providing users with a blue check tag. The new feature also means that it will be more difficult for non-paying users to refute posts with misinformation. The researchers report that the number of error messages on the X platform continues to increase.
