CTOnews.com, October 10 (Xinhua)-- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a 1937 Disney animation classic, will be launched on Disney+, in a 4K fix on October 16 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, according to deadline.
Snow White is reported to be Walt Disney's first animated feature film and is widely regarded as one of Hollywood's greatest early achievements. After its release, the film won an Oscar, which specially made special trophies: a full-scale golden man and seven diminishing gold men, symbolizing Snow White and seven dwarfs, and presented to Walt Disney by Shirley Temple. The restoration work was carried out by the Walt Disney Studio restoration and conservation team, which recently worked together to restore the acclaimed 1950 classic Walt Disney animation Cinderella.
As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Disney will release its 100th anniversary special film "Once Upon a Studio" on October 16, featuring 543 characters from more than 85 feature films and short films, celebrating 100 years of stories, artistic creations and technical achievements in the form of hand-painted and CG animation.
