CTOnews.com, Oct. 10 (Reuters)-the European Commission has questioned Microsoft and Apple users about their views on Bing and iMessage, which was launched after Microsoft and Apple raised legal regulatory objections to "DMA".

The European Commission launched an investigation process in September to assess whether Microsoft's Bing, Edge, Microsoft Advertising and Apple's iMessage should be regulated by the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

DMA regulations require Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet (GOOGL.O), Google, AMZN.O (Amazon), Meta Platforms (META.O) and byte jump to allow third-party apps or app stores to run on their platforms, and allow users to switch from default applications to competitors' obligations.

The committee sent out a questionnaire earlier this month asking competitors and users to evaluate Microsoft's three services, Apple's iMessage, etc., including whether the services that corporate users rely on are tied to a service, how they fit into the company's ecosystem, and the number of users who use them.
