According to news on October 10, artificial intelligence chat robot ChatGPT's efforts in the mobile field have paid off handsomely, but they are also facing challenges. On the positive side, installations and revenue continue to grow, setting new records in both areas in September.

According to the data, ChatGPT's iOS and Android apps have been downloaded 15.6 million times worldwide, with a total revenue of nearly $4.6 million. However, revenue growth has begun to slow, according to the latest data from Appfigures, a market intelligence firm.

Although ChatGPT's revenue has grown by more than 30 per cent in the past few months, including 31 per cent in July and 39 per cent in August, by September that figure had fallen to 20 per cent.

The slowdown in revenue growth may be the first sign that ChatGPT is nearing saturation, indicating how many mobile users are willing to pay for upgraded ChatGPT + subscriptions. Subscribers pay a monthly fee of $19.99 for faster response times, priority access during peak hours, and earlier use of new features and improvements.

So far, ChatGPT subscription services have sold well, with total revenue from mobile ChatGPT rising from $2.1 million in June to $2.74 million in July, $3.81 million in August and a new record of $4.58 million in September.

Surprisingly, however, ChatGPT is not the highest-paid artificial intelligence application. Ask AI, the app's competitor, made more money from high advertising spending, growing from $6.48 million when ChatGPT mobile was released in May to $6.55 million in August, according to Appfigures.

Ask AI's revenue fell slightly to $5.51 million in September, but it was still higher than ChatGPT. Other competitors, such as Genie and AI Chat Smith, are not as strong as Ask AI.

Of course, given Ask AI's advertising spending, net income may be another matter. As for ChatGPT, the company netted about $3.2 million in September after Apple and Google took a cut of revenue from in-app purchases.

In addition to record revenue, ChatGPT had 1560 million installations in September, with a total of 5220 million, according to Appfigures estimates. Google App Store Google Play has the largest number of downloads, with 9 million downloads in September and 6.6 million downloads in Apple App Store.

But there is no doubt that Apple's App Store remains the mainstay of ChatGPT's revenue, accounting for $3 million of total app purchases last month. The US is the largest market for the artificial intelligence chat robot app, accounting for 60 per cent of ChatGPT's revenue.
