CTOnews.com, Oct. 9, according to wabetainfo, WhatsApp launched a "chat lock" feature in May this year, which allows users to lock certain chats in secure folders that only they can access. Now, WhatsApp is developing a new "password" feature that will add another layer of security to user-locked chats. This feature is currently under testing and has not been provided to Beta testers.

As shown in the figure, users can use this function to create custom passwords for locked chats. Enter the password to find locked chats in the search bar of App. Words or emoticons are supported as passwords.

CTOnews.com noted that WhatsApp already provides fingerprint, face unlock and PIN code locking functions, while chat locks can hide personal chats and ensure their security, and customizing passwords not only adds another layer of security, but also helps users search quickly.
