CTOnews.com reported on October 9 that Glory has recently returned to India with the launch of the Glory 90 smartphone. Madhav Sheth, who was in charge of realme and took over Glory's operations in India, revealed some important business decisions and strategies that the company will take in the coming months in an interview with the Economic Times of India.
Madhav Sheth confirmed that Glory is currently in talks with three contract manufacturers in India to produce Glory phones in India. The company is expected to start producing Glory phones in India from January to March 2024. The executive also confirmed that Glory had invested 4 billion rupees (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 351 million yuan) to build an operation and distribution network in India.
After Honor 90, Madhav Sheth also revealed that Glory plans to launch more models to the Indian market in the coming months, although the exact timetable and model have not been disclosed. Glory hopes to sell more than 50,000 Glory 90 phones online and offline during the holiday season, and is expected to achieve sales of 600 million rupees (currently about 52.68 million yuan) this season.
