According to CTOnews.com news on October 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today released "production of Household Appliances Industry from January to August 2023". The national output of household refrigerators was 62.973 million, up 14.5 percent over the same period last year; the output of room air conditioners was 177.45 million, up 16.5 percent over the same period last year; and the output of household washing machines was 64.607 million, an increase of 23.6 percent over the same period last year.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the results of brand evaluation of China's home appliance industry from 2022 to 2023 on September 13. In the first half of 2023, the operating income of enterprises in the home appliance industry was 914.5 billion yuan, profits were 67.5 billion yuan, and total exports of the industry were $43.1 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about 315.061 billion yuan at present). China's home appliance industry has entered the leading ranks in the world, relying on production scale, supply chain support and international competitiveness. The home appliance industry continues to transform its manufacturing advantages, production capacity advantages and market advantages into brand advantages, and there is still a lot of room for growth in the future.

This brand evaluation activity covers 15 categories, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, storage electric water heaters, water purifiers, dishwashers, steaming and roasting machines, vacuum cleaners, rice cookers, air fryers, cooking machines, air energy heat pump water heaters, coffee machines, acaroid devices, electric heaters, etc., a total of 95 brands are on the list.
